Window cleaning training by SqueegeeSchool
terms & conditions

These Terms & Conditions outline the rules and policies for participation in SqueegeeSchool training courses. Please read them carefully. Last updated: 30th August 2025.”

Terms and Conditions

    1. Eligibility
Students must be at least 18 years of age and provide proof of identity on request. By enrolling, you confirm you are physically fit for light–moderate manual work. Any medical conditions that may affect safe participation must be disclosed in writing before training. Squeegee School may require a medical clearance. Students with disabilities will be reasonably accommodated where practicable.

    2. Training Services
Training is delivered in-person, using real-world equipment provided by Squeegee School. Training is instructional only; outcomes are limited to exposure and practice of techniques. No guarantee of employment or business success is given. Students must bring closed-toe footwear and appropriate clothing.

    3. Safety & Conduct
Safety is paramount. Students must follow safety directions, wear PPE, and act respectfully. Misconduct includes intoxication, harassment, bullying, discrimination, or repeated lateness. In cases of gross misconduct or unsafe behavior, Squeegee School may issue a written warning or dismiss immediately if risk is imminent. Dismissals may result in forfeiture of fees.

    1. Payments, Cancellations, Refunds
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of course fees (inclusive of GST) is required. Full fees must be paid before training unless agreed in writing. Cancellations 7+ days prior → refund less deposit. Cancellations <7 days → no refund, but one reschedule permitted subject to availability. After training begins: only unused full days are refunded, excluding the first day. Refunds are processed within 10 calendar days via the original payment method. Overdue payments accrue 5% above RBA cash rate plus reasonable admin/recovery fees.

    2. Liability & Risk
Window cleaning involves risks (e.g., slips, cuts, lifting injuries). Students participate at their own risk and are responsible for personal medical insurance. Squeegee School is not liable for injury caused by student negligence, intoxication, or actions outside instructions. To the extent permitted by law, liability is capped at the total fees paid. Nothing here limits non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Students must sign a waiver before training.

    1. Intellectual Property
All training content (materials, videos, guides, demonstrations) is the exclusive property of Squeegee School. Students may use them only for personal learning. Copying, sharing, or commercial use is prohibited. Breach may result in injunctive relief and recovery of reasonable legal costs.

    2. Privacy & Data
We collect only necessary personal data (name, contact, payment). Data is retained only as long as legally required, then securely deleted. If a data breach occurs, students will be notified in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and OAIC guidelines. Third-party providers may process data under confidentiality agreements. Data is never sold.

    3.  Certification
A Certificate of Completion is issued if students attend at least 80% of sessions, are punctual, comply with safety rules, and pay all fees. Certificates are not government accredited. Students who miss requirements may request a re-sit (subject to availability and fees). Replacement certificates incur an admin fee.

    1. Non-Compete / Non-Solicit
For 12 months after training, students must not operate or work for a competing window cleaning business within a 5 km radius of Parramatta CBD. If a court finds this period excessive, it shall apply for 6 months; if that is also unenforceable, a non-solicitation obligation applies: students must not solicit Squeegee School clients, partners, or leads, nor misuse confidential information. Skills may be used outside Parramatta CBD or in non-competing industries.

    2. Media Consent
Students consent to photography/filming during training for internal and promotional use. Those who do not consent to promotional use must complete a signed opt-out form before training begins. Opt-outs do not affect use for internal safety or record-keeping.

    1. Governing Law & Disputes
This Agreement is governed by NSW law. Disputes must first be notified in writing and will be acknowledged within 5 business days. Resolution will be attempted within 21 business days through internal procedures. If unresolved, mediation through the NSW Small Business Commissioner must be attempted before court action. Proceedings may be brought only in NSW courts or NCAT.

    2. Force Majeure
SqueegeeSchool is not liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, illness, restrictions). If postponed beyond 30 days, students may reschedule or request a refund. If disruption continues beyond 60 days, a pro-rata refund will be given. Training may also be cancelled if insufficient enrolments occur.

    3. Notices
Notices must be sent by email to the addresses in this Agreement. A notice is deemed received when delivery confirmation is generated, or after 48 hours unless a bounce is received. If email is unavailable, notices may be sent by registered post to the last known address.

    4. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement. All prior representations are excluded. Clauses relating to confidentiality, intellectual property, liability, and non-solicitation survive termination or completion of training.

    5. Amendments
Terms may be updated by SqueegeeSchool with 14 days’ notice. Changes apply only to future enrolments unless expressly agreed by the student. Current enrolments remain under the version signed at commencement.

    6. Assignment
Enrolments are personal and non-transferable. Students may not assign, sell, or transfer rights without written consent. SqueegeeSchool may refuse substitutes at its discretion.

    7. Severability
If any clause is held invalid, the remaining Terms remain enforceable. Invalid provisions will be replaced with the closest lawful provision reflecting the original intent.

    8. Relationship
Nothing in this Agreement creates employment, contractor, or partnership relations. Students participate solely as learners and cannot claim employee or contractor rights.

    9. Acceptance
By signing or electronically accepting, the student confirms understanding and agreement to these Terms. Electronic acceptance and digital records will be treated as originals.

    10. Compliance Footer
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
